Responsibilities
A new full time opportunity is available for a Behavioral LPN at the Westpark Behavioral Medical Center located at 5111 Auto Club Drive, Dearborn.
This is a out patient clinic.
- Position: Full time 40 hours
- Shift: Days

This position is utilized to maximize physician productivity in addition to providing support to Nurse Practitioners and direct patient care. Previous behavioral health and insurance authorization experience is preferred.
The department is composed of a team of Nurses, CD Technicians, and Nursing Assistants who work together as a team to provide special care needs of our patients along with the physicians. Outside of the nursing department are therapists who are also part of the treatment team.
GENERAL OVERVIEW:
- Under general supervision from the Registered Nurse, the LPN collects data and reports observations to the RN for development of the patient's plan of care.
- Performs a variety of both technical and routine nursing services.
- Responsible for the skillful performance of nursing procedures commonly used in the assigned nursing unit.
- Collaborates with the RN in the implementation of the nursing plan of care and physician's orders.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Graduate from an accredited LPN nursing school.
- Current Michigan LPN license.
- NAPNES certified.
- Addiction or Psych experience is preferred. Insurance authorization experience is preferred.
- Successfully completes the Henry Ford medication exam after unit training.
