Responsibilities
- Is responsible for planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating orientation, in-service and continuing education programs for the nursing department and associates of other departments as needed. Prepares instructional materials.
- Serves as an education consultant to the organization.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Current State of Michigan Licensure as a licensed (LPN) or registered nurse(RN) required.
- Minimum of up to two years progressively more responsible nursing and education experience in order to gain the skills and knowledge necessary to provide effective Inservice education for nurse assistants.
- Long term care experience strongly preferred.
- WORKING CONDITIONS: Works in a normal continuing care environment requiring the ability to move throughout the facility and occasionally travel locally.
